Women's History Month, strong women of many ethnicities

Women’s history was first celebrated in the United States in March 1981 when Congress authorized the celebration on Women’s History Week. In 1987, upon the request of the National Women’s History Project, Congress passed a resolution to declare March Women’s History Month.

The CFT has curated a special collection of resources for Women’s History Month. Educators can find hundreds of classroom resources. Unions, families, and communities can find art exhibits, podcasts and more.
