California Labor-Management Virtual Summer Institute
For K-12 local unions and districts
The California Labor Management Initiative Virtual Summer Institute will be June 22-23, from 8:30am to 12:30pm each day. The two half-day sessions will include a conversation with Linda Darling-Hammond, president of the State Board of Education, and State Superintendent of Instruction Tony Thurmond.
While the convening is now virtual, it is still designed as shared learning and team-building experiences for K-12 school district and county office labor-management teams. You will hear presentations from experienced teams across California that have made significant strides by making labor-management collaboration a priority and learn how to take substantive steps together to build deeper partnerships.
The Summer Institute Pre-Conference on June 14 from 9:30am – 12pm will be an introduction to labor‐management collaborative partnerships for improving teaching and learning, and meeting the needs of the whole child. This webinar, which is included with your summit registration is designed for new teams, new staff of existing labor-management teams, or those wanting a refresher.
