This training is exclusively for CFT local leaders, bargaining team members, and other member leaders who currently serve on, or are interested in forming, a Health Benefits Committee (HBC). The session provides a clear roadmap for building or revitalizing a collaborative labor–management committee focused on improving healthcare or health insurance decisions. Participants will gain tools to foster transparency, define roles, and create a shared action plan that builds trust and achieves better outcomes. The training also covers fiduciary duties and proven best practices to avoid common committee pitfalls.

those seeking to better understand how to interact with, support,
and contribute to the committee process
