• Being Proactive in Navigating Difficult Workplace Situations
  ​This workshop provides school personnel with practical strategies to proactively manage challenging professional dynamics. Participants will examine both constructive and counterproductive workplace habits while learning effective approaches to prevent unintended friction with students, colleagues, and parents. The session explores definitions of workplace harassment and bullying alongside techniques for conflict resolution and de-escalation. Attendees will gain actionable insights to diffuse high-stress interactions, foster mutual respect, and maintain a safe, collaborative environment throughout their school community.

• Beyond Work-Life Balance: Creating SPACE for What Matters Most
  What if work-life balance isn’t about needing to be better at managing your time, or giving equal attention to everything, but creating enough SPACE for what matters? In this session we explore why overload, constant availability, blurred boundaries, and competing priorities can leave people exhausted even when they’re highly capable. Participants will learn a simple five-part framework to create SPACE in their lives by being able to see trade-offs, prioritize what matters, audit the systems they’re living and working within, create boundaries, and engage in life beyond work. Through evidence-based strategies, reflection, and practical application, participants will leave with the tools to protect energy, reduce burnout risk, and make more intentional choices about their time, attention, and wellbeing. 

• Essentials Steps to Stop Life-Threatening Bleeding 
  According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, traumatic injury is a leading cause of death for individuals under 50 in the United States, with severe bleeding being the most preventable cause of trauma-related mortality. The goal of this training is for participants to gain or improve knowledge and skill, proficiency, and stopping life-threatening, bleeding an adult and children  This interactive workshop equips participants with evidence-based techniques to rapidly assess, prioritize, and control life-threatening bleeding. Attendees will master essential, lifesaving intervention skills, empowering them to respond effectively in high-pressure emergencies and significantly improve survival outcomes before professional medical help arrives. • Protecting California School Employees From Climate-Related Hazards
  Led by UCLA’s Labor Occupational Safety and Health Program (LOSH), this vital training equips California educators and school personnel with actionable knowledge to mitigate climate-related workplace hazards, including wildfire smoke, poor air quality, and extreme indoor heat. Participants will examine regional health hazards, state workplace protections, and legal employer responsibilities. The curriculum emphasizes practical tools for hazard assessment, incident prevention, and active worker participation, empowering educators and labor unions to collectively advocate for safer, healthier, and more resilient learning and working environments.

• Understanding California Education Code 
  Understanding the California Education Code can feel overwhelming. This workshop introduces classified employees to the basics of the Education Code and provides practical tools for navigating it with greater confidence. Participants will learn how the Education Code is organized, where to find frequently used sections, and how to identify provisions related to classified employment, wages and hours, leaves, contracts, personnel matters, and collective bargaining. Through practical examples and hands-on activities, participants will practice locating relevant codes and developing a basic understanding of statutory language. The goal is to help classified employees feel more comfortable using the Education Code when researching workplace questions and concerns.
