Labor History Displays Print E-mail

There are a total of seven different labor history displays available for use during Labor History Week (first week in April) or other times.  Here are brief descriptions.

1)  Golden Lands, Working Hands
CFT, 10 foot wide by 8 foot high convention popup, with twenty five  8x10 inch laminated images with text of California labor history from the mid 19th century through today, velcro backing.  Comes in two mailing bins on wheels.  Can also be combined with DVD screening.  One copy.  Contact:  Fred Glass, 510-523-5238

2)  Our Work Life
CFT, Northern CA historical work/struggle stories by two Bay Area progressive artists and union members (one is a member of the SFCC AFT) twenty four laminated panels (11 inch high, 27 inch long) originally made for over bus window advertising slots.  Check out here:  http://www.creativeworkfund.org/modern/bios/kate_connell.html.  Three copies. 3) California labor history (from the Labor History Map project)

4) One Hundred Years
California Labor Federation, three dozen images of CA labor history from founding of state fed to present, various sizes (two dozen 11x14, one dozen larger) on foam core with text.  One copy. Contact:  Jeremy Smith, 916-444-3676

5) Miguel Contreras display
UCLA Labor Center, two triptychs, in five thematic areas:  UFW, labor revitalization, political mobilization, immigrant rights, Miguel Contreras’s legacy.  One copy.  Contact:  Kent Wong, 310-794-5983

6) 1934 SF General Strike display

7) We Called It A Work Holiday
