Action taken:

• Committee asked to pay registration to NAEYC convention for one committee member
• Ask CFT to get Early Childhood Credential reinstated to be able to teach transitional K pre-K-3
• Continue to support and communicate the needs of Early Childhood to all educational communities
• Look for opportunities to participate in decision making organizations that affect Early Childhood.
• Get Early Childhood to be included in all K-12 as EC/K-12 verbally and written
• Get workshop at CFT convention re: Transitional Kindergarten
• To develop an ECE resolution for best practices for Transitional Kindergarten

Future plans:

• UTLA needs to restructure dues fir Early Childhood-she will make resolution by February. Want committee support (Ruth)
• To develop an Early Childhood resolution for best practices for Transitional Kindergarten (Betty)
• Make resolution for CFT convention to address Early Childhood as part of EC/K-12 (Jocelyn)
• Make resolution for CFT convention to reinstate EC-3 credential (Margaret)
