October 1, 2011—A couple hundred CFT activists from across the state met at L.A. Valley College on Saturday, October 1, to carry out the important work of the union's statewide committees.  The committees monitor areas of concern in public education and in the workforce, and help to create CFT policy through recommendations to the governance bodies and in the form of convention resolutions.  Committee members heard from CFT president Joshua Pechthalt during lunch.  Fred Glass photo.
