PARKING

A.             GENERAL PROVISIONS

1.             The University shall provide to NSFs parking and parking-related services at each campus or the Laboratory to the same extent and under the same conditions as normally provided for other University employees at the employee's location.

2.             It is understood and agreed that parking spaces designated for employees may from time to time be eliminated or reassigned due to construction, special events, and/or operational needs of the University.

B.             PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION RATES FOR FISCAL YEARS 2003-2004, 2004-2005, and 2005-2006

1.             The University, upon ratification by both parties, will implement the FY 2002-2003 parking and transportation rates at each location as set forth in Appendix G, effective June 1, 2003.  The University will make payroll deductions for NSF with parking permits.

2.             For Fiscal Year 2003-04, the University will implement parking and transportation rates in the amounts and on the date(s) identified in Appendix G.  Any location that does not have the 2003-04 parking and transportation rate increases set forth in Appendix G shall not increase rates by more than $5.00 per NSF per month, or equivalent for other than monthly permits.

3.             For Fiscal Year 2004-05, the University will implement parking and transportation rates in the amounts and on the date(s) identified in Appendix G.  Any location that does not have the 2004-05 parking and transportation rate increases set forth in Appendix G shall not increase rates by more than $8.00 per NSF per month, or equivalent for other than monthly permits.

4.             The University and the UC-AFT agree that the parking rate increase for FY 2005-2006 will be the same amount paid by other campus employees effective the same date on which the increases are effective at the campus.  However, in the event a more favorable increase structure is negotiated for a particular group of employees than the increases implemented for the general campus population, the more favorable negotiated increases will also be effective for NSF at that location.  The resulting rates will be effective for NSF on the same date that the rates are effective for the other campus group(s).
