On June 21, 2007 CFT Secretary Treasurer Dennis Smith and CFT Community College Council President Carl Friedlander gave testimony to the State Assembly Select Committee on Community Colleges. The topic was an inquiry into the conditions of part-time instructors in California Community Colleges, and a discussion of policies that might address the inequities in their employment and improve the quality of education delivered to community college students.
